Courtney Lyons

Hi there! I'm Courtney, a dedicated yoga enthusiast and a mother to three spirited daughters, embarking on life's journey alongside my partner, James, and our lively household of two dogs, and a kitty cat. We thrive on outdoor adventures—be it paddle boarding, hiking trails, or cycling around. In the midst of our bustling family life, my yoga mat serves as my sanctuary, helping me reconnect with my inner peace, staying grounded and true to myself.

My yoga journey began during my teenage years, shifting me from a place of sadness to rediscovering my joyful essence. My first Yoga Training was in 2006 while I was in community college at RCC. This was my first deep dive into my own practice. Little did I know many years later I would choose to pursue teaching. After completing my 200-hour teacher training at Twist Yoga in 2017, I have had the privilege of sharing this life-changing practice, offering a wide variety of classes, from restorative sessions to the integration of yoga with chiropractic care and working alongside Naturopathic doctors. As my practice grew I decided to deepen my understanding and pursued a sound healing certification. Completing this program in 2022. I aspire to incorporate harmony and balance into our practice. If you’re looking for a supportive community, mindful movement, and a unique yoga experience, I’m excited to welcome you to UNFURL

Kendyl

Hi, I’m Kendyl. My passion for yoga began late in college. New to yoga classes, in shavasana (final resting pose) I experienced a peace and relaxation that I did not find anywhere else in my life. I graduated in 2019 and immediately went on a 10 day silent meditation retreat. Sitting with myself for 10 days, I felt a certainty that I was meant to be a healer and use holistic modalities to help others. In 2021, I graduated from a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Twist Yoga. I began teaching immediately after. I am currently enrolled in a yoga mentorship program focused on anatomy and spinal health. What I love most about teaching yoga is creating a safe space for people to accept their bodies wherever they may be that day or season. Moving past judgement to be present with the body. I hope to practice with you in the future, namaste!

Sara

Hi, I am Sara. I am a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and lifetime student of Yoga. I started training and teaching in 2008 after completing school as a Health and Fitness Technician. I started my yoga practice in 2009 through YogaFit and it changed my life. I was a highly competitive athlete, but not very flexible or balanced. Yoga reminds me to listen to my body, let go of competition, judgment and expectations, and be in the present moment. Yoga has also helped me, and my clients, overcome many injuries, reduce stress and much more.

I took a 10 year break from teaching in the fitness world while I served in the Army National Guard full time and started my family. However, I have remained passionate about staying active and healthy. While I continue to learn and complete my 200hr YTP, I am happy to be returning to teaching and sharing my experiences to help others along the wellness journey.

Alexa

Alexa (they/them) has been a yoga teacher since 2013. As someone with high anxiety, Alexa first discovered yoga as a way to feel more embodied during times of stress and now enjoys sharing the grounding effects of yoga with others. Their practice and their teaching style have changed as they continue to embrace the aging process. In an uncertain world, yoga is a tool to navigate and reflect. There is yoga for every body and every stage of life.

What is Reiki?

Reiki isn't just a healing technique—it's a transformative journey rooted in ancient Japanese wisdom. By harnessing the universal life force energy ("ki"), we restore harmony and ignite vitality in every session. Through gentle touch and energy flow, we dissolve stress, release tensions, and awaken profound healing on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. It is important to note that Reiki is a spiritual not religious practice.

Reiki enhances the healing frequencies of the crystal bowls, amplifying the influence of vibrational sound. Deepen your state of relaxation, ease tension in the body and mind and restore energetic balance.

Eva

Eva’s yoga journey began fifteen years ago in a hot power class that completely humbled her. Born and raised in Hawaii, from an early age, she developed an active lifestyle by spending time outdoors and communing with nature. By experiencing first hand the powerful transformations that yoga has to offer, she was inspired to become a teacher in 2013. Her study and practice have evolved through a variety of styles- Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, restorative, trauma-recovery yoga and more recently the role of biomechanics in yoga. Eva enjoys guiding students through intentional movement with an emphasis on discovering a deeper awareness in each shape. Her goal is to inspire a practice rooted in love and kindness.

Gina

Hello! I'm Gina. I’ve been teaching Yoga since 2011, shortly after receiving my 500-hour yoga certification with my main teacher, Jean Mazzei.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of being invited to teach and lecture on various retreats, workshops and yoga teacher trainings, and also co-founded a yoga teacher training program, which is still thriving today.

One of my biggest joys in life is continuing to witness my students expand, knowing I played a noteworthy part in their unique journeys.

What I intend to impart in my teaching spaces is not mere technical expertise, but a distinct quality of space that allows my students to be as they are, focus on themselves and find their slice of peace in an increasingly busy and stress-inducing world.

I want my students to know that there is another way to live life—

one that includes more ease, spaciousness, stillness and receptivity.

A way that isn’t so caught up in solely identifying with outer drama and inner conflict.

A way that allows for feeling supported in the midst of uncertainty and doubt.

When all is said and done, I want my students to walk away feeling expanded from the inside while being grounded in their bodies, and to touch the lives of others from that place.

Heather

A wildflower since birth, Heather is passionate about reintroducing people to the healing wonders of the natural world.

After getting her Bachelor's degree in Interpreting American Sign Language/English and working in the Deaf community for many years and then going on to have three children with her husband, she felt drawn to the peaceful serenity of the yogic lifestyle. Heather completed her 200 RYT Yoga Teacher Training program in 2022 at Antelope Valley Community College in Lancaster, CA. Moving to Oregon has been a wonderful experience that has allowed her to get immersed in the natural beauty of the state. While leading a monthly family hiking group aimed to develop appreciation for the outdoors, Heather hopes to develop an outdoor yoga practice that incorporates the benefits of the natural world (air, water, earth, sun) with the benefits of yoga.
